OPEN SHOW: Sunday 15th July 2018

The Pennine and Scottish French Bulldog Association held another successful Open Show at Gretna on Sunday 15th July. Once again there was a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and everybody had a good time thanks once again to our hard working committee. In spite of the warm weather, a large fan and open doors kept the hall pleasantly cool.

Our judge for the main show, Mrs Linda Smith (Bellicose) found her BIS in Miss Lindsey Roach’s Roalice Mini Mouse ShCM. Res BIS was Mrs & Mr M & P Kasporowicz”s Daniello Easter Power Live JW ShCM. BP was Mrs K Mile’s Ranacani Valentino Rossi and last but by no means least BV was Miss Joan Howarth’s Gizyjo Miss Frederique.

All the winners were presented with cash prizes, £100 for BIS donated by Mrs Nancy Asiamah, and Res BIS, BP and BV donated by Mr & Mrs T Griffiths. They also received engraved trophies to keep donated by Mr & Mrs Kasporowicz and some beautifully decorated Frenchies presented by the judge. Of course all had their photos taken in the club’s Blue and Gold coats.

The Helen Cottrell Special Open Classes were held in the lunch break and judged by Mrs Joanne Walton (Ravendane). Miss Megan Porter’s bitch Tartanpride Pleasure Me won the Special Junior Dog or Bitch, Miss Joan Howarth’s btich Gizyjo Miss Frederique won Special Post Graduate Dog or Bitch and Her dog Gizyjo Sting Like A Bee won Special Open Dog or Bitch. Dr Laura Hamilton BVM&S PgC SAC MRCVS had a full day testing both French Bulldogs and Bulldogs and was pleased with the results.
